Cancellation & Refund Policy

At The Mama Chef, we aim to be fair, transparent, and clear about cancellations and refunds. Since our meals are prepared fresh and delivered on a subscription basis, certain limitations apply.

By purchasing a subscription on https://www.themamachef.com, you agree to the policy outlined below.

Subscription Cancellation

Subscriptions can be cancelled only if no meal has been delivered under that subscription.

Once even a single meal has been delivered, the subscription cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

This policy exists because meals are planned, sourced, and prepared specifically for each subscriber.

Refund Eligibility

When a Refund Is Allowed

A refund is applicable only if:

  • The subscription is cancelled before the first meal delivery

In such cases, a service charge of INR 100 will be deducted from the total amount paid.

The remaining amount will be refunded.

When a Refund Is Not Allowed

No refund will be issued if:

  • At least one meal has already been delivered

  • The customer fails to receive the meal due to incorrect address details

  • The customer is unavailable at the time of delivery

  • The customer does not inform us in time about skipping meals

  • The subscription is terminated due to misuse, fraud, or resale of meals

  • Delivery is missed due to customer-side issues

Mode of Refund

All eligible refunds are processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

Refund processing time may vary depending on the payment provider but is usually completed within a reasonable timeframe.

Skipped Meals & Paused Subscriptions

Customers may request to skip meals or pause their subscription by informing us on WhatsApp at least 8 hours before the scheduled meal delivery time.

Failure to inform within this timeframe will be treated as a delivered meal, and no refund or adjustment will be provided for that meal.

Skipped meals are not refunded but may be adjusted within the active subscription period where feasible.

Delivery Exceptions

In cases of natural calamities, government restrictions, strikes, curfews, or other unavoidable events, we will make reasonable efforts to inform customers about delays or service changes.

Such situations do not automatically qualify for refunds unless explicitly stated by The Mama Chef.

Account Termination

If a subscription is terminated due to:

  • Resale of meals

  • Fraudulent activity

  • Abuse of services or staff

  • Violation of our Terms & Conditions

No refund will be issued.

Changes to This Policy

The Mama Chef reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website.

Customers are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
